French food galore (2)

Ty Coz is another French restaurant I had wanted to try for the longest time. Finally made it there a couple of months ago and the food's so great, it was worth the wait!

Again, its hidden deep inside a small alley but you can identify it from its neon-lighted signboard (which I've forgotten to take a photo of it). The restaurant interior's really cozy, not the usual dark and romantic atmosphere found in most restaurants. The biggest upside of this restaurant - prices are not high being French cuisine, extremely economical to enjoy a decent French dinner here.

The foie gras was one of the best thing on this plate. The beef's tender too!

It was French food on Valentine's Day and more French food in the following weeks!

After tasting the food at The Refinery, we knew we had to try at the restaurant next door - Vasco's. Friends had told me about the live band and music. But I think it was the food that will draw us back - was it really French food? We weren't sure but its linked to another popular French restaurant here (Camargue Restaurant).

Took a short stroll near it after a heavy dinner and took a shot of this.
I have to admit its one of the best looking hotel in HCMC.

Valentine's Day in Vietnam...again

Valentine's Day will always be spent in Vietnam as long as I am here, as cost of flowers & a good meal on this day will not be as exorbitant as the cost of the same in Singapore.

French food has become another of our favourite cuisine here and on this Valentine's Day, we ate at The Refinery.

Tucked away behind rows of clustered shophouses (opposite the Park Hyatt Hotel) are a few gems like The Refinery and Vasco's.

Was a little disappointed with the table given (although we made reservations on Wed) - indeed the restaurant was 100% booked. Food's not too bad but I must say it is not as good as L'En Tete, though cheaper.
