"Italian Hospitality Throughout Vietnam"

"Italian Hospitality Throughout Vietnam" is the slogan of the famous restaurant, Good Morning Vietnam with branches in HCMC's backpackers' area, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Nha Trang & Hoi An (well, not quite throughout Vietnam).

Its pizzas and pastas are great and its Tiramisu is my all time favourite. Will give its morning breakfast a try soon!

Have a hotpot while you sing

Yes, this is a karaoke lounge and yes, that is fire you see for the hotpot. It may seems strange but it is absolutely normal for the Vietnamese. In Singapore, a TV and microphones can be found in some restaurants to provide Karaoke while we eat, whereas in Vietnam, full dinner menu, including hotpot are found in karaoke lounges for patrons who are hungry. This is the popular Nice Karaoke located in district 3.

Fujian cuisine, anyone?

Pu Tien Restaurant must be one of the few restaurants in Singapore that serves true Fujian food. Was there last night with my family to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Fujian dishes have really unique taste but I can't say all of them are to our liking.
